Go-Pods Euro Trip 2024 - with Alan Rogers Travel Guides

What you need to know
Alan Rogers Travel Guides are organising the first ever European Go-Pods rally led by experienced & knowledgeable Go-Pod owner Paul Johnson, who's racked up thousands of miles in his Go-Pod touring Europe in his role as an Alan Rogers Travel Guides site assessor.
Paul (along with his colleagues at Alan Rogers) has put together a 12 night itinerary with stays booked at sites in the beautiful Champagne-Ardenne and Rhône Alpes regions of France, along with tours, excursions and social events.
Check out the itinerary below. The total cost of the package includes ferry crossings from Dover to Calais, campsite pitches (with electric hookup), day trips and excursions.
Secure your spot in the first ever European Go-Pods rally by placing a £150 deposit with Alan Rogers. Places are limited and once filled, any additional applications will be placed on a first-come-first-served basis waiting list.

❖ A return ferry crossing with Irish ferries.

Price includes all campsites in the itinerary, excursions and return ferry crossing for 2 people in a car & caravan of any height and length.

Dover to Calais – Monday 17 June, between 06:00am – 14:00pm
Calais to Dover – Saturday 29 June, between 14:00pm – 00:00am

17th June - 1 night - Camping d'Epernay
Epernay, Marne, Champagne-Ardenne, France
This is a very well maintained municipal site in the heart of the Champagne region - a peaceful oasis on the banks of the River Marne. There are several sports facilities on site plus a privately run kayak school and boat hire.
18th June - 1 night - Camping du Lac
Villeguesien-le-Lac, Haute-Marne, Champagne-Ardenne, France
Camping du Lac de la Villegusien is in Haute-Marne just 200 metres from Lac de Villegusien and one kilometre from the centre of Villegusien-le-Lac. This dog-friendly site is all about holidays dabbling in water sports, visiting local watermills and unwinding by the outdoor swimming pool.
19th June - 5 nights - Camping International le Lac Bleu
Doussard, Haute-Savoie, Rhône Alpes, France
The Camping International du Lac Bleu is situated between the mountains on the shores of Lake Annecy. The campsite has its own access to the lake. There is also a beach and jetty. Nearby (3 km) you will find the historic town of Doussar.
24th June - 4 nights - La Grappe Fleurie
Fleurie, Rhône, Rhöne Alpes, France
This is a neat, well-ordered campsite situated in the heart of Beaujolais. It's surrounded by vineyards and within walking distance (just 1 km) of the pretty village of Fleurie (one of the premier Beaujolais crus).

25th June – Day excursion
Visit to the Hameau Duboeuf, an incredible journey into the world of vines and wine. Hameau Duboeuf is the first vineyard and wine theme park in Europe, unique in its kind. Here you will find an educational and an immersive way of the vineyard and wines heritage. You will have a guided tour, taking you back to the wines history, during the tour you will have a break for lunch, a picnic prepared by the campsite. Next the group will enjoy some wine tasting in a magnificent room of Parisian cabaret style from the beginning of the 20th century you will be offered a tasting of Beaujolais and Mâconnais wines from the selection of Georges Duboeuf Wines.
27th June – Day excursion
Walk through the vineyards and enjoy an Aperitif and Beaujolais meal in the restaurant nearby.
28th June - 1 night - Camping d'Epernay
Epernay, Marne, Champagne-Ardenne, France
For the last night of the rally, it's back to Camping d'Epernay before heading back to Calais to catch the ferry at 2pm on 29th June.
